mother's day

We all have that special someone in our family or friend group we adore- whether it's a mum, mother figure, grandmother, aunt, cousin, or lady friend- this coming Sunday is a great time to give them something back and say, 'thank you for being you.'

Typically, Mother's Day is centred around mothers, but I want to extend this to any person who has made a huge difference to you as an individual. I know plenty of people who don't have a mum, or a positive relationship with their mum, and often these kinds of holidays can be really tough. Whether it's a relative, or a friend you're close to, don't forget to give them a big cuddle if you can, send them an email or give them a call and just say thank you for whatever it is they have done to be so special to you.

As a token of my love and appreciation, I went shopping today for my own mum and grandmother, and I love these MOR Hand Creams in a pack of three. I got this set for my mum, and a different set for my grandmother, from David Jones. In addition to this, I whipped up some personalised Mother's Day cards, one each, and got them back from the printers today. I love how they turned out, and know that my mum and grandma will appreciate a more personalised touch.

I've seen a few Youtubers and bloggers do this, and I always love seeing haul videos and posts that people make about what he get. This past Christmas was amazing, so here's a short recap of the generosity I received at Christmas.

I squealed out loud when I opened up this little gem from under my tree. This was a very generous gift from my parents, with a little note attached, saying how proud they were of me in finishing my degree. I wear it with pretty much everything & I love it.

 ➳ Kikki.K 2014 A6 Weekly Diary in 'Sweet' ➳

This was a very sweet gift from my brother for the new year- it's a really cute little diary. It'll help me stay organised, and it's got the most beautiful water colour illustrations inside. Kikki.k is one of my all time favourite stationery brands.

 ➳ Frankie 2014 Illustrated calendar ➳

For those of you who don't know, I l o v e Frankie magazine. Clarissa & I have often brought copies of the magazine to the other's house and poured over them. I have gotten the last three year's illustrated calendar's and this year's going to be just as adorable as previous years.
