So had my first day at the new job- it was a short 3 hour shift so I wasn't too worried about the shift itself, but more the me getting from one shift at another job to the second shift in time. I was so stressed about getting to Manly late or having a bus or train be late & stuff me up, but I managed to get there with about half an hour to spare so I wasn't hurtling down the street from the bus to get to the store looking like a hot, sweaty mess. But I got there in one piece.
I worked with the manager, & with another girl who had finished earlier in the day but hung around the store. The manager is really chilled out which helped but I'm realistic about retail & how not chilled people can be. The other girl is super funny, and me being in the store was basically my old job at Diva again- putting stock out, making pointless small talk with customers, & cleaning. I'm kinda embarrassed to say that I missed seeing all of the jewellery and colours all displayed again- I guess Diva was engrained in my DNA from the word go.
Working two jobs with casual shifts could almost be the same as working part time hours, but money is great. I have a HUGE wishlist.
