if it were colder...

Living in Australia can be an awesome thing most of the time - the beaches, the culture, the shopping, it being a pretty cool place to call home. However, the weather can be a total gamble, especially around this time of year. One minute it's pouring with rain for days, the next it's boiling hot, with 100% humidity, and you can barely dry your hair without being covered in sweat, and don't even try wrestling with make up. Just don't.

I am definitely someone who has a more winter inclined wardrobe - jeans, boots, coats, comfy hoodies - perfectly fine for temperatures in the lower range. I've been looking at a lot of overseas inspiration and what people in places like New York are wearing on the streets, and the grungy/lumberjack look is in the mix. I love the rise of simple tees and a flannel shirt, with your favourite black jeans and boots, and chucking on a beanie for good measure.

Unfortunately that kind of sweater weather is not a regular occurrence where I live in Sydney, so I can only hope and plan for the slim chance that one day I will wake up, and walk outside in cosy clothes.
