peace

I spent my day today running last minute errands and enjoying some peace at my home before I suddenly become very busy. I re-arranged my studio and added a bell jar to my magazine collection stack. My friend gave me a new planner and pen from Typo to help me with my new job, and I cannot wait for the coming weeks.

april beauty favourites

Grown Alchemist Gentle Gel Cleanser, Grown Alchemist Intensive Hand Cream, Essence Quattro Neutral palette, & LUSH Dream Cream Body Lotion.

April is coming to a close and these are my favourites for the month.

I have been loving Grown Alchemist, and these two products- Gentle Cream Cleanser and Hand Cream- will become very handy when it begins to cool down. I find my skin gets very flaky and dry, so having moisture rich creams will help with the impending dryness.

I purchased this Essence Quattro palette about a year ago, and I've come back to using it again for when I've been out and about this month. The colours are quite pigmented, and can bring a little bit more depth to a natural eye look.

My bestie Clarissa L O V E S Lush, and this Dream Cream was picked up a couple of months ago on one of our shopping trips. Clarissa has literally every single solid perfume from Lush and she always smells amazing. I love this body lotion because it's super moisturising without being greasy, and doesn't leave residue on my hands or fingers.

I spent the day cleaning up my make up collection, finishing off work for clients and caught up on some essential reading x

winter haul

Grown Alchemist Intensive Hand Cream, Wrap Coat, Floral Print top, Ecoya Wild Frangipani, Essie polish, & Earth boots

Winter is trying really hard to break through the dregs of the summer heat in Sydney at the moment- we've had a few days of cold and rain, but hopefully it'll become colder soon.

I was in need of a new winter coat, and managed to pick up a few other bits and pieces- I love the Grown Alchemist hand cream, it smells amazing and will stop the wind from drying out my hands. The Earth boots make me rather tall which I like, and the Floral Print top I wore out to dinner the other night & felt very dressed up in it.

My study smells like wild frangipani and I'm busting to try out the Essie nail polish I picked up too.

materials in the raw

One of my favourite things to do is day dream about my ideal home, and think about all the beautiful pieces I want in it- lately, Typo has been a great source of inspiration over the last few days, and all but one of the pieces above can be found online or in store.

I love the stripped back rawness of the ram's skull- perhaps a little gruesome for some, but I love the starkness of bone against distressed wood and a neutral palette. The tea towels will have a place in my kitchen, the je'taime sign will be in the main hall near the door, and the Grown Alchemist range will be sitting in my en suite.

Here are a few more home inspirations found on tumblr;
